WE HIRE THE BEST

The Tradeco Advantage: We utilize a rigorous screening and hiring process to single out only those applicants that are highly qualified, safety-oriented and very reliable. While this is our “secret sauce,” we’re not afraid to share what we do – after all, it is why thousands of customers trust us to provide safe and reliable tradespeople needed on their project every day. We’re not afraid to say that we’re the best at what we do, and that’s because it is the only thing we do.

Walk-in applicants are not accepted at Tradeco. Applicants may call or visit a local Tradeco office to inquire about employment opportunities and then be pre-screened to determine if there’s a possible fit. The pre-screen involves asking a series of questions to determine if the applicant meets our minimum hiring requirements. If, after the pre-screening there is mutual interest, we set a firm date and time for an Employment Application and Interview. This helps assess whether the applicant is capable of keeping appointments. If they’re late for their appointment, we almost always disqualify the applicant. While this sounds harsh, the reason for this is simple: if they miss or are late to such an important appointment, it is highly likely they’ll exhibit tardiness or other attendance problems. Since we pride ourselves on the reliability of our workers, it is the first critical thing we test.

Employment Application

Our Employment Application is detailed, capturing education, work, and military history as well as a comprehensive tool inventory and skills assessment. We not only review the content of the supplied information but also take into consideration the completeness of the Application. This analysis provides valuable insight into the applicant’s ability to follow instructions.

Personal Interview

Every Tradeco applicant must provide a minimum of two previous employer references. References are checked verbally by having a candid, open and very detailed discussion with former supervisors. We confirm skills, attitudes, behaviors, attendance, and ability to produce quality work in an efficient manner. We do not make an offer when reference checks cannot be completed or situations in which reference information contradicts information collected during the application and interview steps.
